Had my fair share of camera brands – Sony, Nikon and Samsung though I can’t say for sure which is better or which is best, purely because the sharpness of the photos and videos, audio and battery life were my only concern. Nothing too complicated. So long as it gets the things I want to do done.
Canon has always been one of the best known brand. As much as I want to get one quickly to play around, I wanted one that could last so I did tons of research. But I guess you could say I do research on many things I get and end up wishing I had never gotten it but this camera is serious business; I wanted an all-in-one.
Looks amazing ain’t it? A mini DSLR as I’d like to call it. How cute. That aside, I truly hope the autofocusing doesn’t fail me. Anyway I am excited to see the HD quality it offers so am determined to make the first set of photos taken with it real good because isn’t that what you do with something new? Waiting for the right time like I always do, but really, when will the time ever be right for anything?
As mentioned in the unboxing video I made along with this post, I went all over Singapore searching for this little one. Messaged two camera stores because those are the only two found. Impatient and anxious, I waited for replies. Like customers to store, first come first serve basis – whoever responded first with reasonable price, is who I shall visit.
M S Color got back to me. Located at a place I used to always go when I was a kid. Oh memories.

It is only because they went the extra mile (something a business student takes note of) that I’m sharing the place I purchased the camera. It’s one thing when people are too nice the fake-ness slips through but it’s another when you could tell that some are genuinely nice.
Samsung EX2F has done me alright. The audio system is kinda screwed up in the camera, the battery life is enough for a few long videos with the 20-min limitation per take but taking photo with this however, can be very frustrating because of the noise levels. I played around with its functions but yes, still, it doesn’t do well in low-light. I did actually really liked the capability of its autofocus, it is pretty impressive for a camera noob.
Now that was a long welcome to Canon EOS M3 in joining the collection that’s too small for a collection.
