1. Don’t let stupid things get to you; though it will.
They will say shit about you – in your face or behind your back. They will go all out to bring you down. You will feel horrible like nobody cares. You will cry hoping for somebody to tell you you’re beautiful. That’s okay. It doesn’t feel like it but it will be okay, you will be okay.
Because, whoever is trying to bring you down is already below you.
2. Some are true to others doesn’t mean they are to you.
They might be a nice friend, they might be a good person to the homeless but that doesn’t mean they will be real with you. We often see people in the light of how they treat others and upon hearing things of the opposite, we find them unbelievable.
Coming from experience, in short – just because they love their friends and family wholeheartedly doesn’t mean they will love you.
3. Don’t fall for the idea of someone and think it’s love.
Each time I was experiencing infatuation I thought holy cow I think that’s how love feels right and time only existed to prove me wrong. Infatuation is an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for someone or something as the dictionary says.
Do not fall for the idea of someone and think it’s love, it made me so pathetic and it wasn’t worth it. And, it’s definitely not love.
4. Study hard while you can.
I don’t think you’ll really know the importance of education until you are moving towards to another part of your life. I only realized and liked studying when I’m already a quarter in my final year about to take my final exam. It was although too late, but I never regretted, only because I took another way, probably it’s the longer one but that was what suits my taste.
I can’t stress this enough, so much that I am starting to sound like my mother.
5. Save money.
You will need a good amount of them at once someday. Very badly and quickly. Trust me – because I’ll be at that stage of life soon.
